Septic service businesses throughout the US are having extreme daily difficulties finding places to dump liquid waste. Some of the most obvious proposed solutions mentioned below are, realistically, out of reach to the average operator. Others, if approved, will take years to be built. Meanwhile, operators are struggling to withstand daily losses of time to service customers because they’re driving long distances and waiting in long lines to dump septage loads.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Omega LWS, a Canadian company founded by Tony Vachon, offers what is arguably the most practical solution to the disposal crisis for many septic service operators. It is Vachon’s patented invention of the increasingly popular mechanical wastewater filtration technology used on Omega’s state-of-the-art septic service trucks.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

How the Omega Process Works<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

The Omega equipment performs onsite mechanical filtration and same-source return following a complete pump-out. These are some of the most important systemic safeguards provided by this new solution to the septage disposal crisis:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The business owner, Brandon Roberts, has emphasized that the number of trips he’s saved with the Omega filtration system has justified the cost of the new pumper tank and filtration truck. The reduced number of disposal trips has cut fuel use, unloading time, and tipping costs, while giving the company more time to service customers. He says now he has much more time to service customers. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    The amount of wastewater going into the treatment plants here is well over what they were ever meant to handle. And, the plans are past their 46–50-year lifespans. Our city has tested the Omega filtration device and found it’s an acceptable alternative to a traditional pump out. We have used it for septic tanks and it does exactly what it says it would do. And for a poly tank, you want some water in there to keep it from floating, so it’s a smart choice for homeowners with those tanks.”<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    We asked Brandon what he thinks about so many operators driving for hours and waiting in long lines, sometimes being turned away, and driving more hours to find a place to dump septage, and paying huge fees just to finally get back to their service area and continue helping customers.
